Reaching Out To Non-Members

To gain membership to the credit union everyone should not be younger than 16 years of age.

They should either be..

...an employee, a member, or a pensioner of the Public Service, Statutory Authority, Government or Agency of the Government of St. Lucia and Quasi-Government organisations hold singly or together at least 25% of shares, and employees of Public Service Unions and Associations;

...an immediate family member of member to include a natural and adopted parent, sibling, spouse nephew, neice, and common-law relationship of over five years and children and wards of a member;

...a beneficiary of a deceased member;

...an employee of the society;

...a registeres Society, Pre Co-operative, School Thrift Co-operative and Junior Co-operative;

...an association, corporation, club, partnership composed for the most part of individuals who are eligible to membership in the same manner under the same conditions as individual members;

...a past member in good standing of a School Thrift Co-operative twinned with the Credit Union;

...an employee of a Public Service Union or Association;

...Notwithstanding all of the above, a person who ceases to be eligible for membership may continue as a member subject to such restrictions prescribed by the Board;

Requirements for Membership

If coming in through a family member, legal proof of relationship has to be presented e.g. marriage certificate, birth certificates, statutory declaration, national identification.

If coming through your place of work then a job letter or pay slip along with national i.d has to be presented.

Most of us members have enjoyed the benefits/services available through the Credit Union. It is an obligation our part to assist in the growth of our memership.It is equally important for us to REACH OUT to potential members and encourage them to join.
